About Us

CCUg is a legally registered Community Based Organization (CBO) primarily working in Jinja and Mayuge districts, Eastern Uganda. The organization focuses on using holistic means to reduce poverty and gender inequality among rural and peri-urban poor. CCUg works among women, youths and children in Jinja and Mayuge districts and has its offices in Wairaka, Jinja district. The organization has on-going programs in Jinja and Mayuge districts.

Mission and Vision

Vision:

An educated and productive community free from poverty and gender inequality.

Mission:

Increase access to quality education and vocational skills among disadvantaged women,  youths and children (with emphasis on the girl child)

Our Objectives

  • (1) Increase access to quality education among OVC (with emphasis on the girl child) and illiterate women as a means of improving community productivity and reducing poverty and gender inequality.
  • (2) Increase access to Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) information and resources among adolescents and youths.
 
  • (3) Increase access to credit and skilling among women and disadvantaged youths so as to improve on their livelihoods.
 
  • (4) Promote sanitation and hygiene among vulnerable families, communities and schools.
